Bounce Rate (bounce rate) can be defined as the amount of visitors who leave your website without taking any action (clicking on a link, filling out a form, making a purchase...) expressed as a percentage.
This metric is important for several reasons:
- A visitor clicked on your page but did not convert. Reducing the visitor's exit before leaving can also increase your conversion rate.
- Bounce Rate can be used as a ranking factor in Google. Ranking on the first page of Google search is closely related to the bounce rate.
In Google Analytics 4, the bounce rate is calculated as the percentage of "unengaged sessions" (the percentage of visits without interaction).
