YouTube is the largest internet database of videos. It was created on February 14, 2005. The people involved in its founding are Jawed Karim, Chad Hurley, and Steve Chen. Since 2006, it has been part of Google. With over 2.5 billion active users per month, YouTube is an integral part of online culture.

Currently, it is possible to upload videos of various lengths, including in HD resolution (1080 px). The YouTube Shorts feature, introduced in 2020, allows for the creation of short videos with a maximum length of 60 seconds, responding to the trend of short videos popularized mainly on the TikTok platform.

In addition to its basic functionality, YouTube also offers supplementary services such as YouTube Premium, YouTube Music, and YouTube Kids. Besides uploading personal content, it can also be used for live broadcasts - streams.
